So much for the rumors about Verizon and the Palm Pre. Everyone expected that Verizon would offer the Palm Pre in 2010, but several weeks ago a rumor was going around that they would not carry the device. Then we heard that the rumor was not true and Verizon would indeed carry the device.

Now comes official word from the company via its Twitter page that Verizon will indeed carry the Pre next year.

This is great news for Palm because they are in need of many more customers. WebOS has proved to be a promising platform but Palm is still way behind Android, iPhone and BlackBerry.
