If you're looking for a case for your Palm Pre this is the one to get. We usually use side cases, but after several different brands we settled on this top case from Smartphone Experts. The top case makes it easier to remove the Pre when it's on your belt. It's not easy, but easier than the side case.
The only complaint we have is the belt clip isn't as good as it could be. It's covered in leather and so it's not as easy to remove from your belt than some other clips. Other than that we ha...read more

Thanks to Apple not allowing a Google Voice app into the App Store, Google did a little updating of their Google Voice web site to make it usable for the iPhone and WebOS. Through a HTML5-based web app, Google has managed to get around Apple's App Store requirements and now iPhone users can feel the love of Google Voice.
The new Google Voice web site should work with any HTML5-compliant device, although the formatting has been tailored to Apple and Palm's platforms.

We knew it would happen sometime, but Treo lovers all over the world are probably bummed about now. The Treo Pro has disappeared from Palm's web site. Palm is only focusing on webOS products going forward so the Treo line is becoming a thing of the past. We've been avid Treo users for years and it's sad to see this line of phones disappear.
You can still purchase a Treo from Dell, or Amazon but we're not sure how long that will last. It looks like we've seen the last of the Treo....read more
The new Palm Pre Plus on Verizon has some nice improvements over the original version offered by Sprint. The phone has 16GB of storage memory which is nice, but the extra RAM Palm has included has some major multitasking benefits.
PreCentral has tested the two devices side by side. The original Pre could open 13 applications at one time before running out of RAM. The Palm Pre Plus opened a whopping 50 applications and still did not trigger the "Too Many Cards" error message. ...read more

AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega says they'll have two webOS phones in 2010. We're assuming the Pre and the Pixi will both end up at AT&T. Stay tuned....read more
Palm, having recently released webOS 1.3.5 for the Pre, has already released webOS 1.3.5.1 for the Pre and Pixi. The update fixes the problematic Exchange bug where all calendar events would be cleared after syncing to an Exchange account.

WebOS 1.3.5 is out today and we've installed it on our Pre. Beware, as we had a few weird issues with this update. First of all, the Pre told us the update was downloading but the progress bar never moved. We then got a message that said it could not connect to get the update. We tried it again and the progress bar did not move again for about 15 minutes. All of a sudden, our Pre said the update was ready to install. We hit the Install button and then the waiting began. The Pre rebooted 3...read more

The world has been waiting for video recording capabilities to come to the Palm Pre for some time now. Although the capability has not been released by Palm, thanks to a Homebrew app called Precorder, you can not record video on your Palm Pre.
The Precorder app is in alpha stage right now so it's far from perfect. There is no video preview while you're recording for example. However, this app does show promise.
You can get much more information at the Precorder Wiki link below....read more
