News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - October 14, 2009

The Palm Pre is making its way around Europe this week. The Pre will debut in Germany, Span, Ireland and the UK. European carrier O2 is releasing the Pre across several European in the next several days.

The official launch dates are as follows: Germany on Oct 13, Spain on Oct. 14, and the U.K. and Ireland on Oct. 16.

The European version of the Pre is a GSM version that supports HSDPA for 3G. The North American model uses CDMA technology which is not supported in Europe. Will a European carrier release an unlocked GSM version of the Pre? There have been several rumors of an unlocked Pre, but we'll have to wait and see. Cross your fingers.
