Palm Centro Battery Drain
I had serious battery problems in the beginning, my new battery would last less than a day even with moderate use. I even returned to the retailer and made them give me a new one! Same problem! It is not a hardware issue but a problem of setting up the device and third party apps.

Thing is that by default the Palm presumes that you should have maximum comfort, that means all allowances are permanently ON and that is a huge battery drain.Normal users would disable Bluetooth for safety reasons, but there is also IR, Network connections that stay alive after you accessed some web page, Voice Command (you can disable all programs manually in Voice Dialing), keyboard lights and so on, and so on.

Additionally to the recommendations already posted here I really recommend two software packages: Power Hero and PowerMan. I bought both and in combination they not only gave me a battery live of 3-4 days now (with the same usage), I also got extremely useful "profiles" like a normal cell phoneto set up all functions according to the time of the day automatically.
