According to AllThingsD, the HP TouchPad isn't selling so well at Best Buy. In fact, it is selling very poorly. AllThingsD has a source that says Best Buy has sold less than 10% of their initial inventory of TouchPads. Best Buy apparently started with 270,000 TouchPads, but has managed to sell only 25,000 or so. Another source claims the 25,000 might be a stretch.
Best Buy is said to be so unhappy that they are refusing to pay for the inventory and they want HP to take them back. HP is supposedly begging Best Buy to be "patient."
"A second person who has seen Best Buy’s TouchPad sales figures confirmed the results as “consistent with what I’ve seen,” and went so far as to say that 25,000 sold might be “charitable.” This source suggested that the 25,000-unit sales number may not account for units that consumers return to stores for a refund."
