AT&T Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Officially Announced

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 22, 2010

There have been so many rumors about a WebOS device landing on AT&T, only to be quashed by denials and rumors of delay. Palm has finally officially announced that the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi will indeed be heading to AT&T. This is probably good news for Palm, but we still maintain that although WebOS is the most promising OS in our view unless Palm gets better hardware they're doomed.

AT&T users will be able to pick up the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus for $149.99 and $49.99, respectively. Of course to get that price you'll have to sign a 2-year contract and get a $100 mail-in rebate.

"AT&T and Palm have a history of smartphone leadership, and today's announcement is a significant milestone for us," said Jon Rubinstein, Palm chairman and chief executive officer. "With Palm webOS phones coming to AT&T, Palm can help most anyone in the United States stay connected so they never miss a thing."
