Sprint is giving added incentive for users to switch to Sprint and pick up a Palm Pre. Sprint is offering an additional $100 off if you switch your number to their service and pick up a Pre. The offer does not apply to existing Sprint customers under contract.
The Pre could be a phone that users would switch carriers for so this might be a good move for Sprint. On the other hand, it might upset existing customers who will feel ripped off.
Users will have to pay the $299 contract price, get the mail-in rebate, and then they'll get this $100 credit sometime within the first 3 months.
"The $100 service credit will be applied to your Sprint account within three invoices. The service credit will not display in the shopping cart at checkout."
