Apple will likely break the Pre's Media Sync again
News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - October 05, 2009

The Palm vs Apple iTunes sync saga continues. The two companies have been going back and forth over whether the Palm Pre should be able to sync with iTunes. Apple broke Palm's syncing ability with the release of iTunes 9.0.1, but Palm followed with re-enabling the syncing in the release of WebOS 1.2.1.

Apple now wanrs "newer versions of Apple’s iTunes software may no longer provide syncing functionality with unsupported digital media players."

Is this really surprising? The two companies will likely continue to battle until someone blinks, or caves. Meanwhile, all of the Pre owners who use iTunes are left to blow in the wind.

Apple should allow Palm to sync with iTunes. Apple has such a dominant position now they've not nothing to lose and can only gain by attracting more customers to the iTunes store. C'mon Apple. Open up.
