There has been a lot of buzz going around about a possible Palm Centro announcement on September 12. Palm's European web site recently put out a teaser about a competition to get one of "the new Palm smartphones." Most of us speculated it would be the Palm Centrol but it appears that we were wrong.

Stephanie Richardson has posted an entry in Palm's official Blog denying that the Palm Centro will be announced on September 12.
