Snapperfish today released its heavily anticipated follow up to its popular email client, SnapperMail. SnapperMail 2.0 signals the introduction of Enterprise Edition with IMAP4 support, aimed at fulfilling the high end needs of business professionals.
Enterprise Edition supports synchronizing e-mail with IMAP4 servers including standard enterprise groupware such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and Notes, and Novell Groupwise. Enterprise Edition also introduces a unique feature to access Ghost(tm) messages; messages which have been deleted on the mail server but can be preserved on the device or even archived to a memory storage card for immediate access to years of messages at any time.
Other key improvements include a face-lifted user interface, enhanced attachment support, memory card message archiving (supporting storage of years of old messages), bulk purge, auto purge, Improved SMTP Authentication with support for CRAM-MD5, and a massive number of incremental improvements.
2.0 also expands the starter-pack of attachment viewing applications by bundling the handheld version of SplashPhoto4 in Premier and Enterprise editions. SplashPhoto4 by SplashData is the top selling photo viewer for Palm OS and is normally priced at $29.95.
SnapperMail 2 is priced between $29.95 and $59.95, depending on edition, and is available from www.snappermail.com.
Existing customers who purchased within the last 4 months are entitled to a free upgrade to SnapperMail 2, which is available from their customer accounts at www.snappermail.com/download/login/.
Existing customers outside of the free upgrade window may purchase 2.0 at a discount with details available at www.snappermail.com/store/upgrade.cfm.
